If there’s one good thing about being placed under community quaratine amid the threat of COVID-19, it would be the reality that the current situation has reunited family members who are often busy during normal days. It has given people the chance to spend quality time with their loved one.
In different social media platforms and websites, we can see posts and read stories about how family members bond with each other–just like this mother and daughter tandem who has been recreating famous art works amid the lockdown, bringing good vibes to thousands of people online.
On Imgur, user @airsquid uploaded photos of her friend and the latter’s mother, who has been recreating masterpieces made by various artists from around the world.
“So my friend has been quarantined with her 83-year-old mother and the pair have been mimicking art works for weeks now,” read the post, which already has more than 122,000 views, as of writing.
“That’s awesome! Thank you for the laughs. Everytime I scroll, I discover new details (kudos for Minerva’s lyre),” wrote @Goldenteckel.
“These are amazing. What keepsakes these are! The Great Quarantine of 2020,” @hsyrnyk commented.
While @dkizzll shared his favorite recreated image, “I don’t know what the piece is called, but the one with the bicycle helmet is the best!”
The social media users also commended how creative the tandem is for creating wonderful props using items that are readily found at home.
Isn’t this amazing? Why don’t you try recreating art works with your mother (or with your children, if you are a mom), too? Instead of worrying so much and getting stressed out most of the time, make the most out of the lockdown as much as you can!
